The true winner of 2016: Negativity

Let's face it this election year has been one of the strangest and scariest in my opinion. People are fired up for November, some for reasons I may not agree with but that is neither here or there.  I may generalize a little when I say it truly has come down to the following factions. Faction A is the people who see Trump as an unfit, unstable bigot. Faction B a rampant unstable mass of angry people who still see President Obama as "the black guy who ruined our country" despite evidence of the opposite. And finally Factor C, the wannabe revolutionaries. They want to change the system but tend to not truly inform themselves on what the system is or why it is necessary. They scream rhetoric like "down with Wall Street politics" and pat themselves on the back for going against Status Quo.

I won't lie the thought of shaking stuff up appealed to me, it's why Bernie Sanders was a breath of fresh air. But if you look at it, even he ran on the Democratic ticket. Why? Because like it or not even he knew that the two party system is way too ingrained to just dismantle overnight. True progress won't come from just voting independent. Sadly some of the more progressive politicians are found fixed to the two main parties. I blame us for this, we who let ourselves be fed by media garbage constantly instead of truly seeking out information. We have sold our brains to those who know how to use headlines to get the most clicks, or put provocative morons on tv just so people will talk about them.

Sadly we are all being played and are ok with this. We allow the constant flow of negative media to corrupt our senses, and spew out vile reasoning to justify why we are voting. Even on the side that seems more stable there is still such a negative air to why people are supporting Hillary Clinton and that in Itself is a sad testimate to how low the attitude in this country is.

You see it everywhere now, people arguing instead of talking. Using attacks on intellect, social status, and telling people how to vote. The fear of Trump is turning even respectable people into insult flingers. And sadly this attitude will play into his hands.

I cringe when I see people telling others their third party vote is a waste. Simply because to me it shows a lack of confidence in the candidate you are backing. I seriously doubt that like Ross Perot amazing feat of garnering serious votes, that Stein or Johnson will make a serious dent in the polls. But even if they do they do, do you doubt Hillary Clinton so much that you are willing to insult and badger support for her? How does this make you different from the Trump supporter who blames the liberal media for the asinine things that spews out of Trump's mouth?

And to some of you third party backers looking to shake up the system, by attacking Clinton for being too status quo, or wall street backed, what are you saying about the candidate you are backing without attacks on Mrs. Clinton? Do not confuse your high ground with being informed if the only thing you do is parrot how untrustworthy Hillary is. I think you should all be smart enough at least to realize that there is no such thing as an honest politician. No matter how Green or Libertary they claim to be.

The negative trend of politics is an infection that has showed me how twisted our society has become. No matter how people will choose to vote this election many will be voting out of fear and anger, instead of what is best for our country. You can see it in the way we even attempt to debate or talk issues with one an other. Instead of using positive talk and facts, we have been reduced to name calling and vote shaming. And sadly what will help men like Trump are people who instead of just sticking to facts when cross commenting or even talking to friends, instead badger them with the message "you are throwing your vote away."

You may get people to the polls just to vote in spite, instead of allowing people to vote conciously. That to me is more insuring a Trump victory could still be had. He runs on fear, strokes the fires of hate and divide. The more we fight each other the more credence we give to why someone like him was nominated.  When you ask the question how did Trump get this far, you need only look in a mirror.

You see you don't have to support him or anything he stands for. But the moment you behave superior, be it morally or intellectually. The moment you knock a person for who they support politically, you become no better then that blustering orange man who many feel would be a dangerous person in the white house.

Pro tip, instead of using your voice to badger the unhappy or dissatisfied voters, use it to speak without insult on why you favor your choice. Talk to those still undecided with facts. Don't push, I don't care how scared you are. It is far more dangerous to use fear to combat fear.

Just my two cents.
